Deal in specific Treasury products/markets within defined boundaries in order to maximise Bank profit from deals.
1. Deal a variety of financial instruments within a defined area of Treasury dealing so as to deliver a profit on those transactions.
2. Deal within defined dealing limits (position, stop-loss and profit/loss) so that financial risk to the Bank is controlled.
3. Maintain an understanding of market dynamics in order to proactively develop appropriate dealing positions or strategies for clients.
4. Provide daily profit/loss and position reports to the Chief Dealer so that the Chief Dealer understands the position of the department and financial control is maintained.
5. Assists in monitoring dealing limits (position, stop-loss and profit/loss) for Junior Dealers so that appropriate financial positions are taken in light of prevailing market conditions and risk to the Bank and is controlled.
6. Liaise with other internal teams and advise them on appropriate markets and strategies according to their client’s status and portfolio.
7. Provide on-the-job training and guidance to Junior Dealers to promote their knowledge of Treasury products/Markets and dealing processes.
8. Develop and maintain effective relationships with customers, authorised counterparties and brokers in order to promote dealing expediency.
9. Adhere to all relevant Codes of Conduct set by SAMA and other external bodies to ensure full procedural compliance.
10. Dealing with either more influential clients or on more complex client issues.
11. Propose financial strategies for clients.
12. Familiar with local competitive practice in dealing areas.

Advanced knowledge of a specific area of dealing and all relevant products/financial instruments.
Detailed understanding of the setting of personal dealing limits in light of differing market conditions.
In-depth understanding of economic and market drivers for a specific area of dealing.
Thorough understanding of sales processes and ability to analyse client circumstances.
Thorough understanding of all relevant SAMA dealing guidelines and Codes of Conduct.
Thorough understanding of dealing administrative and reporting processes and procedures.
Computer literate with a thorough understanding of processes and procedures.
Excellent communication and report writing skills.
Written and spoken fluency in Arabic and English languages.
