Employees are normally promoted to this level after acquiring at least 5 years of experience and knowledge as an Assistant Relationship Manager. RM’s independently manage their customer relationships with limited day to day support from the Team Leader or Unit Head. Jobholders have sufficient technical knowledge of BSF products and services to understand customer’s needs and define and present appropriate solutions. Relationship Managers prepare appropriate credit proposals and obtain the required internal approvals to offer appropriate solutions and credit facilities to the customers in timely manner.
To manage the relationships of medium and large portfolio of clients and to ensure development of commercial banking business and cross selling of other business lines products and services. He should identify his own target marketing list of prospect customers and regularly market new customers to have at least one active / profitable new medium / large size Commercial relationship added every year.
Accountabilities:
- Manages existing pre-defined set of corporate relationships
- New business development with existing or new customers including regular marketing calls to identify business opportunities
- Ensure timely submission and implementation of credit proposals
- Active marketing and cross selling of various products of the bank offered by CMBD and other business lines.
- Regular monitoring of the customer relationship / and utilization of credit facilities and perform timely credit reviews.
- Ensure the validity and legality of all transaction and account documentation to secure and protect the Bank’s position against unacceptable levels of risk.
- Enhance the return on the Risk Adjusted Assets through obtaining more collateral/cash margins, better pricing on bank assets, fee collection, cross sell of different bank products and growth in bank liabilities (Deposits such as CBDs & NCBDs).
Skills
- University graduate preferably in finance or a business discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Commercial Banking relationship management environment with another bank.
- Well-developed credit/financial/market analysis skills.
- Good understanding of economic conditions within the Kingdom and globally.
- Detailed knowledge of credit approval technique, processes and procedures.
- Sound understanding of all relevant SAMA regulations.
- Detailed knowledge of relevant BSF products/services.
- Sound knowledge of relevant BSF procedures and policy.
- In-depth awareness of competitor products/services.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.
- Excellent negotiating skills.
- Good analytical skills.
- Excellent report-writing skills.
- Written and spoken fluency in English.
